Puppycourse
Group lessons with a maximum of 4 course participants (6 lessons of 1 hour each)
You can join the puppycourse if your dog has an age between 8 weeks old up to a maximum of 24 weeks old (under 6 months old).
The main language that will be spoken during the lessons is Dutch, but it’s possible to translate things to English during the excercises if it’s not clear for you.
The puppy course is suitable if you are looking for small group lessons with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 participants. Everything will be taught to your pup in a positive way and because the group is small, there is a lot of personal attention for you and your pup. During the lessons the bond between you and your puppy is central. Mutual trust and understanding is very important. You learn to understand your pup and know what your pup needs to grow into a stable and social dog. Together you will become a strong team!
What is covered during the puppy course:
- Getting your dog’s attention (and keeping it)
- Important basic commands such as: sit, lie down and come here
- Walking without pulling
- The importance of ‘timing’
- Socializing with people (what to watch out for)
- Socializing with other dogs (what to watch out for)
- Specific things you would like to learn
- Understanding your dog and knowing what he/she needs
After 6 lessons you and your dog receive together a certificate.
Behavioural therapy
At Dog Minds, the method is focused on creating a good bond between you and your dog so that you can reconnect with each other. We work in a welfare – oriented manner and according to a modern and scientifically proven method. We look at the emotions behind your dog’s behavior and the underlying causes, so that we can really help your dog (no symptom treatment where the behavior is temporarily suppressed, but the problem is in fact not solved). Furthermore, as an owner, you also have an influence on your dog, so it is important to also look at yourself to see if things need to be adjusted in order to make real progress.
Changing behavior takes time and that is why I work with customized behavioral programs. Are you 100% motivated and ready to work consistently to improve your dog’s behavior? Then contact Dog Minds, because I would like to help you and your dog!
Although you can come to me with all kinds of behavioral problems with your dog, my specialization lies particularly with the following behavioral problems:
- Dogs that lunge (growl, bark, snarl or bite) towards other dogs, people or traffic during the walk
- Dogs that lunge (growl, bark, snarl or bite) at visitors in your home
- Dogs that are afraid of other dogs, people or sounds
Basic program (3 months of guidance)
The basic program (3 months of guidance) is suitable if you experience moderate behavioral problems with your dog. Your dog doesn’t show the unwanted behaviour daily, but at least 4 times a month. In preparation for the first consultation you will receive an extensive questionnaire by e-mail (you need to fill this out at least 3 days before the first consultation takes place, so I can prepare for our appointment). Then a consultation will take place at your home. Here I can observe your dog and gather any missing information. I look at what the cause (or causes) of the behavior problem you are experiencing is and establish a diagnosis (what exactly is the problem).
Together with you, I create an fitting therapy plan. I will make a report and send it to you within 1 – 2 weeks. At the end of the first appointment we schedule the remaining 2 appointments (keep in mind 1 appointment per month). During the follow-up appointments we look together how things are going and whether any additions or adjustments are necessary for the therapy plan. Depending on the problem, we may train in different places during the follow-up appointments.
Furthermore, between appointments there is also the possibility to ask questions by whatsapp and e-mail (Monday to Friday) and forward videos around the development of your dog’s behavior. After our last appointment, there is then 1 month of aftercare for questions you can ask by whatsapp and e-mail.
Consultations take place on weekdays during the day.
Premium program (6 months of guidance)
The premium program (6 months of guidance) is suitable if you are experiencing severe behavioral problems with your dog. Your dog shows the unwanted behaviour daily or at least 4 times a week. In preparation for the first consultation you will receive an extensive questionnaire by e-mail (you need to fill this out at least 3 days before the first consultation takes place, so I can properly prepare for our appointment). Then a consultation will take place at your home. Here I can observe your dog and gather any missing information. I look at what the cause (or causes) of the behavior problem you are experiencing is and establish a diagnosis (what exactly is the problem).
Together with you I make an fitting therapy plan. I will make a report and send it to you within 1 – 2 weeks. At the end of the first appointment, we schedule the remaining 5 appointments (consider 1 appointment per month). During the follow-up appointments we look together how things are going and whether any additions or adjustments to the therapy plan are necessary. Depending on the problem, we may train in different places during the follow-up appointments.
Furthermore, between appointments there is also the possibility to ask questions by whatsapp and e-mail (Monday through Friday) and to forward videos around the development of your dog’s behavior. After our last appointment there is 2 months aftercare for questions you can ask by whatsapp and e-mail and after 2 months there will be a final telephone conversation of 15 to 30 minutes to discuss how it goes.

Follow-up consultation (1 hour)
You can choose this if you would like some extra guidance after you have already followed the basic program or the premium program. You will no longer receive a report during a follow-up consult.
Private lesson
Individual puppy course (6 lessons of each 1 hour)
You can join with your puppy the individual puppy training when your puppy is 8 weeks old and up to 24 weeks old (under 6 months) at the start of classes.
Individual puppy training is suitable for puppies who have difficulty concentrating during a group lesson and are easily overstimulated. By starting the training first at your home in a quiet low stimulation environment, we can quickly teach your puppy commands and also lay a good foundation in education. Later in the training we can also practice in other locations if you prefer, such as the forest/park. Everything is taught to your pup in a positive way and during the lessons the bond between you and your pup is central. Mutual trust and understanding is very important. You will learn to understand your pup and know what your pup needs to grow into a stable and social dog. Together you will become a close team. Because of the individual puppy training, you and your pup have full attention and we can work on things you find most important. The lesson program can therefore be adapted to your needs. The pace of the lessons is completely adapted to what your puppy can handle.
The lessons are weekly (weekdays during the day). In consultation, twice a week is also possible.
In between the lessons you can also ask questions via what’s app or email. At the end of the individual puppy training you will also receive a certificate together with your puppy.

A private lesson is suitable if you want extra guidance during the training of your dog. Six-time private lesson (1 hour each)
A six-time private lesson is suitable if you want guidance during the training of your dog. Think of learning for example commands, strengthen the bond between you and your dog and increase the general obedience of your dog. With this package you follow 6 lessons so we have a lot of time to go deeper into the training. If you or your dog finds it difficult to concentrate during a group lesson, a private lesson can be a solution. This way you have an effective training. A private lesson is also recommended for adopted dogs. They can then train in a quiet environment.
Individual walking service
Individual walking(s)
The individual walking service is suitable if your dog can not go along with a dog walking service and you can not arrange someone else to do the walking for you. There are various reasons why some dogs can not join a group. For example, they are prone to overstimulation, anxious, fall out to other dogs, still young (physical strain) or have physical limitations due to their age and/or medical problems. You want your four-legged friend to have a pleasant walk, be safe and receive professional guidance. If your dog experiences problem behaviour, which manifests itself during the walk, I can immediately start working on it. It is therefore wise to schedule a consultation as well, so that further investigation can be conducted as to the cause of this behaviour and how to solve it (see behavioural therapy). The duration of a walk depends on the dog itself. If you live in Eindhoven you can make use of this service.
Purchase advice
Telephone consultation (30 minutes)
A telephone consultation is suitable if you need advice regarding the purchase of a dog. It is important to make an informed choice when you intend to buy a dog. Which breed suits you and your living situation best and where do you get the dog from? I can guide you in making the right choice.
